We are national leaders in breastfeeding support and in the care of families facing baby sleep, baby crying, and parent mood challenges. Since 2011, Brisbane’s Possums Clinic has offered caring, highly effective care to many thousands of families in South-East Queensland, helping them grow joy in early life. All our practitioners are fully accredited in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) or the Possums programs and work closely with Dr Pamela Douglas.
Our NDC lactation consultant Sian Michalk offers home-visits anywhere in Brisbane (text 0424150031). We run group sessions no out-of-pocket expenses every Monday 9-11 am for babies under 16 weeks of age (Dr Pam and Sian) and every Wednesday 9-11 am for babies over 4 months of age (Dr Pam and Renee, big focus on sleep!) in the lovely South Brisbane Sailing Club hall next to the park – book first by phoning 3188 7915. Individual F2F appointments with our NDC GPs lactation consultants and infant sleep experts occur in the Possums Clinic, located at Kindred, East Brisbane phone 3188 7915 or complete the form below.

The Medical Director of our charity, Dr Pamela Douglas, developed the innovative evidence-based programs known as Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) or the Possums programs over a period of 20 years. NDC or the Possums programs are changing practice here and overseas. In the care of parents and babies there are powerful commercial forces attempting to win your attention and your money to grow their businesses. But we have a reputation for kindness, integrity, and values-driven (not commercially or corporately driven) care. Don’t settle for imitations! If a practitioner claiming to offer a Possums program cannot show you an NDC accreditation logo, they are not in our networks, have not undergone an examination at the end of the extensive NDC course, and are not connected with our constantly updating evidence-base. We cannot endorse or recommend their work, and we ask you to please make an ethical choice which supports our charity, so that we can keep on helping mothers and babies.
